NCLEX – RN: This examination is structured according to client needs. The NCSBN has adopted this testing strategy as the professional is totally customer oriented and directly to life. The testing structure is of international standard and allows the state nursing councils to take-in well trained nurses.
The percentage of test questions assigned to each Client Needs category and subcategory of the NCLEX-RNTest Plan is based on the results of the Report of Findings from the 2005 RN Practice Analysis: Linking the NCLEX-RN Examination to Practice (NCSBN, 2006), and expert judgment provided by members of the NCSBN Examination Committee.
The percentage of questions that candidate require answering in different categories is tabulated below.
